From backstage: Peter Gray for Moroccanoil was responsible for the hair at Paul Smith.  

“We were looking for a shape that was masculine from the front, yet feminine at the back,” explained Gray. “We wanted to create tight sides that give an over-lapping softness. So, from the front you see a narrow shape and from the profile you see a big low-rounded convex shape that went into a low ponytail that tucked into the neck.

 “I loved the idea that it was bulbous but not in a 60’s way, the volume wasn’t high up on the crown, it was much lower. I had to create a base to give hair ‘guts’ creating a textured base that would also offer that soft fluffy look. We wanted to create a grungy but sexy messy look making sure that the hair didn’t look as though it was freshly washed.”

Gray used Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray and Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream.
