We are rediscovering our love of indigo at Intertextile Beijing, with textured and manipulated surfaces offering an interesting take on traditional indigo.
Inspired by sugar-coated sweets and tasty treats, these candy pinks are too irresistible to resist at Intertextiles Beijing!

WGSN live from Beijing: these are stills from Disruptive Desires, Tranquility, and the Loss of Lucidity (2012), a film by Chinese artist Ran Huang currently showing at the Long March Space gallery in Beijing’s 798 Art District. This beautiful, disquieting, dreamlike and strangely beguiling video installation is a must-see if you are in the area. On until April 16 2012.
Long March Space, 4 Jiuxianqiao Road, Chaoyang, Beijing
WGSN live from Beijing: founded by the always immaculately turned-out George Wang, T is a modern Japanese restaurant that offers elegant food in an equally elegant environment. And if you consider the regular clientele to be a good reflection of a place, Yohji Yamamoto and his party were having dinner in the room next-door to ours.
Restaurant T, Sino Ocean Office Park, Building C, 10 Jintong West Road, Chaoyang, Beijing
WGSN live from Beijing: if you are in the area, try to catch the Gu Dexing retrospective at the UCCA gallery, which is showing a selection across 30 years of his career.
UCCA, No. 4 Jiuxianqiao Lu, 798 Art District, Chaoyang, Beijing
WGSN menswear live from Beijing: Fei Space is a relaxed multi-brand boutique in the 798 art district with a curated feel to match the neighbourhood galleries. British menswear is prominent with Oliver Spencer, Christopher Raeburn and Topman while womenswear includes local brands like Boundless and Zhang Da.

WGSN menswear live from Beijing: Recently opened by Paul Cheng in the upmarket nightlife area that has developed around the Worker’s Stadium, the Aura store carries a unique offering for local menswear tastes. High-end Japanese, European and domestic brands are carefully curated in a versatile white box space. For Beijing standards the selection is cutting edge and fairly obscure, including brands like Kiroic footwear from Shanghai, Rad Hourani, Belgian designer Jan-Jan van Essche, the Swedish label Obscur, as well as Stratopparel - designed by the store’s co-founder Kelly Li.
Aura, No. 12 Worker’s Stadium, Chaoyang District, Beijing 100027
WGSN live from Beijing: another hard-to-find place in the Hutongs, but worth the effort if you are hungry. Susu serves up excellent Vietnamese cuisine, great for lunch or dinner. We thoroughly recommend the snakehead if you like fish and, if you fancy a cocktail, try the Quiet American.
Susu, Qianliang Hutong West Alley No. 10, Beijing
