Selina Bond opened the show for DMU Contour Fashion which was fantastic start to finish. The level of skill and creativity was at an all time high for the graduates. We particularly like the structured moulded body pieces in contrast to the delicate lace.
Camilla Grimes from Manchester School of Art was the winner of the Creative Catwalk Award at GFW.
Grace Weller from Bath Spa University was the winner of the George Gold Award and Graduate Fashion Week Womenswear Award.
CSM graduate Hyon Park created a tailored sports lux collection with a muted neon palette. We particularly like the deconstructed Nike trainers for trims.
We were thoroughly engaged by Katherine Roberts-wood’s womenswear collection at the RCA with her visually complex and texturally sculptural garments. She experimented hugely with bonded fabric techniques.
Started by film maker Casey Parsons and his brother earlier this year, Eye the Prize is an innovative platform for the arts and creative industries helping connect talent with the money as a launchpad for students, graduates and professionals. The platform brings old fashioned networking into the 21st century.
We love Valeska Collado’s use of bold pastels and color blocking. Her playful collection created fascinating geometric silhouettes.
