We love Schemata Architects‘ new project, ColoRing, at Rossana Orlandi. The collection of tables use a traditional wood polishing technique called Udukuri, adapted to generate vibrantly painted wood grain finishes. Missoni is presenting an installation called Zigzagging this Milan Design Week. The brand’s entire showroom is illuminated with its famous zig zag patterning, immersing viewers with moving colour and light.

Leading the charge for British design in Milan is Edit by Design Junction, which has brought classic brands such as Ercol - who collaborated with Timorous Beasties on the sofa above - to La Pelota, via Palermo.

Parisian haute couture embroidery specialist Atelier Montex presents MTX Broderie Architecturale at Fuorisalone this week. Artistic director Annie Trussart and creative director Pierre-Alain Cornaz use their experience within the fashion industry to reinvent intricate embroidery and beading techniques into stunning large scale installations, wall-art and room dividers for interior spaces.

Designed by Bertjan Pot for Golran, Triangles is on show at Juice in Milan this week. The new kilim collection,  introduces a fresh look to traditional Oriental carpets and kilim techniques.

Del Vacchio’s innovative leather caught our eye at this season’s Lineapelle. Leather is pleated and then dyed to give an optical concertina-like effect.
