In anticipation of our forthcoming trend analysis from Miami Art Basel @artbaselmiami, we couldn’t resist showing you these optical illusion photographs by Chinese artist Liu Bolin, which were exhibited by Eli Klein Fine Art in New York at the Art Asia satellite show. We love the fusion of fashion, street art and political discourse shown here.
We love this simple yet powerful message displayed by US based Richard Grey Gallery at Miami Art Basel @artbaselmiami.
During Miami Art Basel @artbaselmiami, we took some time out from the art to check out Louis Vuitton’s @LouisVuitton new Miami store and its Objets Nomades collection.
The limited edition 16 piece series is based on the bespoke luxury travel accessory commissions Louis Vuitton himself created in the 19th century.
This collection however is geared with the modern traveler in mind – albeit a very high-end one, as a rivet held leather hammock by Atelier Oï is presented alongside @WGSN’s favourite – The Maracutu storage hanger by Fernando & Humberto Campana.
This season Capsule Paris moves to a brand new location in Cité de la Mode!
We checked out Hien Le’s Miami-inspired collection with a pretty ombré flamingo print; and womenswear brand, Waldrip, which focuses on the story behind its fabric. The jacquard for this jacket is from one of the last traditional European weaving mills in Lyon, France.
Always a highlight of Mercedes-Benz Swim Fashion Week, Mara Hoffman stole the show with her 2013 collection “Desert Outlaw Gypsies”. Taupe swimwear has never been more wearable when accented with aztec neons #MBFW
We first discovered Muther Of All Things on a trip to Australia earlier this year and loved their functional yet innovative collection catered to the fashion conscious surfer. We caught up with the brand at the Miami Swim Show to see their latest 2013 collection, infused with vibrant graphic prints and contemporary silhouettes we’re ready to pack our bags for the sunny shores of Australia, either that or the biker neoprene jacket will do!
