Our #colouroftheweek is White. The stores are still full of winter layers, but the WGSN team have been looking to SS14 at the UK high street press previews. Top-to-toe white is being backed by M&S, as well as other retailers, and is a refreshingly clean slate to start a new season.

At the Brand Licensing Europe, Start Licensing continues the trend for collaborative partnerships, refreshing its classic properties The Beano and Bananaman. British artist, Jon Burgerman reinterprets The Beano in his signature style, creating a new and vibrant collection. Characters such as Dennis the Menace from The Beano are also applied to a range of Dr Marten boots for children.
The reworked gladiator sandal is an important trend at Micam for spring/summer 2014 and this one by UK-based Northern Cobbler is a real beauty! The key to this reinvented gladiator is its broad straps, white leather and chunky flatform sole, but the fringing on this design is what makes it extra special.
